So glad more child-free websites are popping up. I can not believe the amount of hostility I'm given from breeders just for saying something along the lines of "I don't want kids, wouldn't want to be a teacher." I've been yelled at, harassed or been given that look like they think I'll burn in hell if I don't procreate. When will we be allowed to trully live the life we want to live with out dealing with the pressures of others. So glad I at least have the internet to hopefully find others like myself. With out kids one can live a more peacefull, less chaotic life style with more time to enjoy personal pursuits. Good luck to all of us child-free people in a baby crazy world.

I love the name of this site! Finally us non-breeders are banding together, this is great! I had my tubal last year and when I told people I got strange looks and a lot of "why's?" followed by confused looks. But I also got a lot of "good for you's!" and "more people should make the conscious choice not to have kids." I believe through sites like this one, we can influence people to THINK before just breeding. Society has to change and embrace us childfree people.

I am so pleased to see that there are other people like my husband and I out there. We are 10 years different in age, 23(Me) and 33(him). We have chosen not to have children for several reasons.
-I love kids, but I do not want to lose my freedom of schedule and lifestyle.
-If we chose to have kids now, I would feel that I had them too young. If we wait, my husband would feel too old.
-We like to travel. Alot.
-We like money.
-We don't want to share our time with anyone else.
-We both think today's world isn't the best place to raise a child.

I have had alot of pressure from family and friends concerning our decision. Women are more than potential mothers....I wish more people could realize that.
(I have plenty of critters to mother if I get the urge, not to mention friends kids. Sugar them up and send them home!

Hi
I am a freelance journalist and I am doing research for a feature for the Irish Examiner about people in their 30s who choose not to have children, either single or married. If you fall into this category and would like to share your views, please let me know. You would need to be happy to be named and photographed. I myself am childfree and think that those who choose not to have children deserve a voice.

Hi All, I'm 41, have been with Paul for 25 years and we don't have children. This has mostly been a conscious decision on our part, however, I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel the urge to procreate from time-to-time! Never more so since moving from London, England to small town Ireland. Wow, there's a lot of families here!!

I knew from a very young age that I probably wouldn't have children. Apart from the odd cutey, I've never really felt drawn to kids. Growing up in London where every walk of life exists, you can be what or who you want to be without the pressure to conform.

Fortunately, I am with a man who doesn't want to have children which leaves us free to do as we please - and that suits us just fine.

Wishing you all a relaxing child-free

Heard about this site on Newstalk last week. Have lived in Ireland and England for years. Never thought there would be so many people around that think like I do. So glad I'm not the only one tired of comments like: "You still have a couple of years left but you should hurry..." Very well done on the website.
